The Municipality of Carrascal, under the leadership of Mayor Joseph L. Urgel, celebrates another significant achievement after being awarded the 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) at the 2025 Caraga Regional Excellence Awards (CREA) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
This GFH recognition demonstrates Carrascalโs commitment to financial accountability and transparency. It further affirms that the LGU continues to manage public funds efficiently and in full adherence to established standards of good governance.
Alongside this achievement, DILGโCarrascal through MLGOO Merrill B. Espenido also received a Plaque of Recognition for its commendabel support and technical assistance in ensuring the municipalityโs successful compliance with the CY 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) Assessment.
In the achievement of this award, we commend the sustained commitment of our LGU, particularly the LGU Finance Committee and our MLGOO, for their exemplary performance in managing public funds for the welfare of all Carrascalanons. We likewise acknowledge the leadership legacy of former Mayor Vicente H. Pimentel III, whose governance contributions helped pave the way for this recognition to be possible.
