The Local Government Unit of Carrascal, through its Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) chaired by Hon. Mayor Joseph L. Urgel, conducted a comprehensive inspection of various ongoing and completed locally-funded infrastructure projects on January 27, 2026, reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to transparency, quality construction, and the prudent use of public funds.
Mayor Urgel personally led the site visits and emphasized that regular field inspections were essential in ensuring that projects adhere to approved plans, technical specifications, and safety standards. Joining him as members of the PMC were the Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson of the Committee on Infrastructure, Hon. Arnel C. Sunico, department heads of the municipal government, and representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), underscoring the LGU’s inclusive and participatory approach to project implementation and oversight.
During the inspection, the committee visited the following:
– Construction of Baybay Daycare Center – Baybay, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of Road (Road Opening) – Baybay, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of Training Center – Saca, Carrascal, SDS (Front of CGCMI)
– Construction of Slaughter House – Sitio Nocot, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of CNHS Pathways – CNHS, Gamuton, Carrascal, NHS
– Construction of Multi-Purpose Hall – Sitio Pili, Panikian, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of Road (Purok 3 & 5) – Bon-ot, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of Dog Pounding Facility – Bon-ot, Carrascal, SDS
– Construction of Public Comfort Room for Senior Citizen – Executive Building
– Proposed sites for Carrascal Warehouse, Kabataan Center and Crisis Center
Through this activty, the LGU of Carrascal continues to strengthen accountability, promote good governance, and ensure that infrastructure development remains responsive to the needs of its constituents.
